The Marici
Accountability Review

A claim-by-claim record of public statements made by the nonprofit Marici (marici.org), and what could be verified from public sources.

§ Claim 10

Claim 10 — "105,000 children freed, 1,700 networks neutralized" against the figures in Claim 04

Marici's FAQ page states a lifetime total of over 105,000 children freed and over 1,700 criminal networks neutralized. Claim 04 on this site documents over 86,000 children saved since launch (and, for 2025 alone, over 655 networks neutralized), sourced to marici.org, GuideStar, and Millie Giving. Neither page is dated by version, and neither explains the other.

Claim 10 Source Figures Conflict

Verdict: Evidence needed: a published methodology reconciling this FAQ total with the figures documented in Claim 04. Evidence located: two different lifetime totals, both attributed to Marici's own materials, describing what appears to be the same programme.

“Marici has freed over 105,000 children, neutralized over 1,700 criminal networks, and achieved over 90% reduction in child sex trafficking across six major interconnected cities — shutting down what was the second-largest system of child sex slavery on Earth.” — marici.org (faq.html) [source] [archived]

The two totals

Marici’s FAQ page states a lifetime total of over 105,000 children freed and over 1,700 criminal networks neutralized. Claim 04 on this site documents a different set of totals, drawn from marici.org together with Marici’s GuideStar profile and Millie Giving page: over 655 networks neutralized and 39,000+ girls saved in 2025, with over 86,000 children saved since launch.

Neither page carries a publication date or version marker. Neither claim references or supersedes the other.

What’s missing

  • A published methodology defining “freed” and “neutralized”
  • A dated version history showing which total is current
  • Reconciliation between the FAQ’s lifetime figures (105,000 children; 1,700 networks) and Claim 04’s lifetime figure of 86,000 children and its 2025 figure of 655 networks
  • Independent verification of either total
